Meet the Team!

Jake - Managing Director

Hi I’m Jake, and running House of Fun is my absolute dream job! I love sports, cookery, time at home doing crafty and LEGO® projects with my two children and, of course, House of Fun! I have been a qualified teacher for 14 years and really enjoy the buzz of working with children and young people and seeing them progress.

My favourite thing about our activities is the amount of laughter that happens every single day, both for the children and young people, and the adults. I also enjoy seeing people grow in confidence throughout a camp, club or workshop so that they go home at the end with a huge feeling of achievement.

Michael - Operations Manager

Hi, my name is Michael (aka Sports Monkey). I started working with House of Fun whilst still also having a day job in recruitment, but I enjoyed my time as an Instructor so much that I decided to leave recruitment behind to join the House of Fun family full time, which was a great decision. This means that now not only do I get to work at camps, clubs and workshops, but I am also involved in planning and setting up activities to make sure they are as much fun as possible.

A normal camp day for me is spent running sports activities but I have also led cookery, arts and crafts and ibrick sessions. My favourite part of any House of Fun day is how much fun I get to have while I am working!

Jane - ibrick Instructor

Hi, I’m Jane. I’ve been working with House of Fun since September 2023. Before that, I was a primary school teacher for 13 years. Teaching has always been a passion of mine because I love working with children. In teaching, and now in my role as an ibrick Instructor, no two days are the same!

I love working for House of Fun, because as the name suggests, it really is a lot of fun. The name ‘House of Fun’ truly reflects the enjoyable atmosphere within which I work, and I’m grateful to be part of a fantastic team.

In my role as an ibrick Instructor, I visit different schools around Oxfordshire. It’s exciting to witness the awe and wonder on children’s faces as they bring your ibrick models to life. I really do have the best job in the world!

Kim - HR Manager

Hi, I’m Kim! I have been with House of Fun since 2019, starting off as an Instructor before moving into my current role. I have loved being a part of House of Fun’s growth. It has been great to support our amazing staff in running the fantastic camps, clubs and workshops at House of Fun.

My favourite thing about working for House of Fun is seeing the children and young people making new friends, trying new things and just having a lot of fun! I love doing crafts and cookery with the children and young people, letting their imagination take over and seeing all the creative things that they come up with.

Outside work, I enjoy getting creative, spending time outside exploring, being by the sea and spending time with my son.

Anna - Commercial Manager

Hi, I’m Anna - I'm the one working behind the scenes to ensure all your bookings go as smoothly as possible and answering any questions you may have. My role spans multiple different areas including bookings management, marketing and business development.

I enjoy the multiple aspects I am involved in with House of Fun, and it is exciting to see the business grow. Working in a company who have a positive culture makes coming to work a pleasure and knowing that what we offer brings so much to the children is wonderful.

My previous background has been within the snowsports industry, so as you can imagine I love the great outdoors. Whether it's skiing, snowboarding, surfing, stand up paddleboarding or wild swimming, I'm never happier than when I'm outside with family and friends.

Sarah - ibrick Instructor

Hi, I’m Sarah. I joined the House of Fun team in February 2024. With 20 years prior experience in teaching and learning, my passion for working with children is firmly established. I am now excited to be delivering ibrick camps, clubs and workshops across Berkshire. As part of a dedicated and nurturing team, I aim to spread my happiness and sense of fun to all the children and young people I meet.

I love getting to know each child individually and encouraging their creativity. Since building LEGO® models is also a hobby of mine, being an ibrick instructor is the perfect role for me!

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, fitness classes and walks in the countryside with family and friends.
